Sussex Precision Engineering
With over 50 years combined experience in precision manufacturing, West Sussex subcontractor Sussex Precision Engineering provide CNC machined components to a diverse range of industries including; Automotive, Medical, Motorsport, Oil & Gas and Technology.
Due to ever-increasing production demands, Sussex Precision added to their capacity this month with the investment of a 2nd NIKKEN 4th axis table.
Impressed with the performance and accuracy of the original NIKKEN solution, a CNC202, It was a natural decision for Director Craig Gibson to invest in a new NCT200 4th axis, for use on a newly acquired Dugard VMC. The table boasts a huge 900Nm of clamping torque as well as being extremely versatile with its removable faceplate for bespoke fixture setups. The addition of hardened steel and Carbide construction on the worm screw and gear also ensure lifelong durability.
Keeping up with the latest technology, Sussex Precision also opted for the Industry 4.0 NIKKEN I/O integrated into the NCT200. This investment allows the team to be able to remotely monitor uptime, downtime, collision reports, backlash, oil temperature and Current measurement.
This in-depth report system also creates time efficiency, allowing long cycle time batches and the ability to quickly identify any issues without the need to call out an engineer to diagnose potential problems.
