A Week In The World Of NIKKEN
It’s been another busy week in the NIKKEN world with EATON MEDC, AML and EDM Limited all spending time at NIKKEN Innovation Centre Europe looking at projects ranging from Rotary Tables and Workholding to eliminating runout with NIKKEN Zero-fit NC Toolholder technology.
In addition to welcoming customers through the doors, we’ve also been visiting customer sites to evaluate process conditions and optimise machining strategies.
It’s also been a fantastic news week for the Sheffield city region with the announcement that the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre’s (AMRC) co-founder Boeing is to open a brand new manufacturing facility alongside the AMRC in Sheffield.
The facility, to be named Boeing Sheffield, will enable Boeing to bring the manufacture of key high-tech actuation components and systems used in Boeing’s Next-Generation 737, 737 MAX and 777 aircraft in-house, enhancing production efficiency and reducing costs.
