Q. What are the advantages of the Triag powerClamp rail system?
With PowerCLAMP, Triag has developed a product which includes the advantages of a classical vice but has the features of an advanced modular system. It can be used to clamp single parts (both, small and large) or multiple components as well as parts that are challenging to clamp.
Q. Why 5 axis and not 4 axis?
Where 5 axis comes into its own is in the production of complex prismatic/multi feature components. This is when the features require to be manufactured to a tight tolerance on multiple faces and using a 5 axis rotary table you can machine these features with one setup using the same datum.

A trunnion setup enables multiple loading of components and enables you to machine multiple sides/facets in one operation.
